Archive for June, 2012

I didn’t get a whole lot done in June, other than reorganize  parts of the craft room. The main project I worked on was a gift for a friends 60th birthday. The card was made with paper in keeping with her summer birthday and the gift is because she loves mermaids.  As always, click on the image for a larger view.

And last but not least, 🙂 an ATC for Sheri in the Artangle June swap.  The theme was summer or “chunky” (dimensional) or both.  I found a cute pic of a dog dressed for vacation on an ad for Camp Bow Wow and knew exactly what I wanted to do.  The background was made on glossy photo paper using alcohol inks and Citrasolv.

So much for June, it has flown by.  Thanks for visiting my blog.

Surprise, Surprise

Can you believe it?  Two posts just days apart. I finally got pics of the stitching I’ve done on A Crazy World. As always, click on image for a larger view.

A Crazy World – Work so far

Found an art book at the dollar store, couldn’t pass it up for just a $.  It is the artwork of Piero Della Francesca and I did a sketch from one of his pieces.

On Jean’s last stream, she showed how to make a mini album from one 12′ x 12′ sheet of double sided print paper.  The only sheet I had was from a lot of paper seconds, but since it was abstract I figured it would work well.  I also used cardstock in various colors for the tags and embellished with Distress Inks and seam binding.

I think I’m up to date now on what I’ve been up to.  Have a couple of projects that I can’t post until they are received. Also need to make a couple of cards and ATC’s, so I will be busy for a while.

Thanks for visiting,

Carol B.

Post of few words

Once again lots of pics and very few words.  The two postcards and 4 ATC’s were sent to Dede to give away on her stream.  As always you can click on the pictures for a larger view.

Postcards done with alcohol inks, paper napkins, stamps and ink.

Made my own washi tape.

I made an ATC for a swap, but forgot to get a picture before sending it off.  So will hopefully post a pic when the receiver takes a pic for me.   Also have worked on A Crazy World but keep forgetting to get pics.  I’ve stitched an igloo and polar bear, and also Eiffel Tower.  Will post pics when I remember to take them. 🙂
