Below is a pic from retreat, but where is everyone? Retreat fell on the same weekend as the OU/Texas game, so they are all out in the lobby in front of the TV.
Cindy was working on a UFO and it gave me an idea of how I can use all of my 80’s floral’s. It is 8″ [...]

I know that I still need to post Fall Retreat Pt.2, but with Bill home recovering from foot surgery, my routine has been disrupted. I will get it posted soon.
I have been knitting. Kerry asked if I would make something for the new baby of a friend. So I have knit a sweater, (pics and [...]

I’m still working on the Skrappy Panel Mystery Challenge, so no pics. It won’t be much longer until the reveal at fall retreat in October. Then I will post pics of all the finished challenges, and prove that I have actually been sewing and stitching.
My quilting fabrics never got sorted out after our move, so whenever I [...]

Lately I’ve noticed several french knot tutorials around the web. Basically they are all pretty much alike and do a good job of illustrating the making of french knots. There are different schools of thought about the number of times the thread is wrapped around the needle, but that can be left up to personal [...]

Just popping in to give proof that there is stitching being done. Still a lot more jungle to stitch and a little more work on the house, before this section of “A Crazy World” will be finished.
It may be hard to see in the picture, but I added a window to the house. It is [...]

Haven’t been able to spend a lot of time working on the jungle motif, but I’m still making knots whenever I can. The green thread on the hut’s roof are basting stitches, to keep from messing up the raffia while stitching.
‘Tis the Season

This time of year is not only for the holidays. It’s also time to make tamales. So on this cold, gloomy, drizzly day I have a pork roast slow cooking with onions and garlic. Depending on my energy levels it will take me another day or so to complete the tamale making process. It’s easier [...]

What if… I say no to myself.
What if… I learn that due to health and time issues I can’t participate in everything that sparks my interest.
What if… I realize that my crazy quilting started veering away from traditional a long while ago.
Jude on her “what if..” blog offered a challenge to her readers to redefine [...]

In a Crazy World the sun rose over the mountains revealing a winding river flowing down into the plains.
Sorry for the bad pic. Had to scan it due to the weave of the silk background causing the camera to take wonky pictures.
Reporting: A great time and a crash.

All of the house guests have gone home. Even with Donna in a lot of pain from her surgery we still managed to have a good time on the one night that we were all together before Donna went back home. Eve said it almost felt like the sleepovers we used to have. Donna wasn’t [...]
